Radiation House

Hayama Kyoko goes for a premarital health check-up. Initial mammogram shows no abnormalities, but Igarashi doubts it as she has dense breasts and cancer runs in her family. To Igarashi's surprise, Amakasu helps him to get permission for an MRI scan. From this case, Amakasu begins to learn to do things for the sake of the patients.

Sakamoto Mizuki goes for a check-up to find out the cause of her shoulder pain. Hirose finds out that she wants a quick recovery in order to perform for her band's last show. Thus, Hirose convinces the team to help her with the re-examination. Meanwhile, Amakasu does something unexpected when she calls Igarashi into the meeting room.

Fujimoto Naoki is found dead by his younger brother, Yuta, and the hospital wants to perform Ai (Autopsy Imaging) to determine the real cause of death. After performing Ai, Igarashi detects abnormalities in Naoki's liver and believes the cause of death to be an unusual one. The story takes an unexpected turn and it brings Naoki's stepfather, Mr. Fujimoto, to realise the truth that he never knew. Amakasu on the other hand, begins to consult Igarashi in diagnosing the images.

Amakasu wants to perform IVR for Sari, a girl who is admitted to the hospital with blood vessel leakage in her liver. Dr. Kaburagi insists on performing laparotomy which would leave a scar on her body. Amakasu feels hopeless because she lacks experience in the treatment and has to give in to Dr. Kaburagi's decision. When another patient is admitted into the hospital and requires the same treatment, the radiology team teams up with Amakasu and performs the impossible.

Nokishita's ex-classmate, Hanamura Maki goes to the hospital with her husband for a mammography. They are told that the lumps in her breast are malignant and they become worried. Maki's husband returns to the hospital to ask for Nokishita's help, but runs into Igarashi instead. Igarashi helps to perform another scan and the result comes as a shock to everyone, including Amakasu.

Wakai Youko goes to the hospital for an MRI scan because of abdominal pain. Igarashi questions Dr. Kaburagi's diagnosis during the meeting and the news travel to Amakasu. She review the scan again and believes that Igarashi is right. Both of them suspect that the patient is suffering from a rare disease. Onodera finds out about Igarashi's true identity and helps to keep it a secret, but the secret is leaked as well.

Dr. Amakasu's fall results in a Bankart lesion. Dr. Tsujimura reminds Igarashi that he makes the call because he is the doctor. However, Igarashi suspects Amakasu's injury to be more serious and asks for another inspection. A VIP patient is hospitalized to avoid public scrutiny. Despite objections, Dr. Tsujimura and the team of radiologists insist on giving him a full check-up.

Dr. Kaburagi submits his resignation letter. Amakasu and the technicians encounter a problem with a child with bone fracture. They suspect child abuse, but it turns out to be something more severe. On the other hand, Igarashi wants to perform another check-up for Amakasu's dad as he suspects her dad to be suffering from another disease.

Amakasu General Hospital faces a crisis due to Igarashi's action. The technicians ignore Igarashi when they discover the truth about him. Seeing the trouble he caused, Igarashi makes a decision that impacts each of the Radiation House members. What will happen to Igarashi and Amakasu? Will Igarashi finally tell her the truth about their childhood promise?

During his flight to the United States, Igarashi is faced with an emergency situation. Is he able to overcome it? While the radiation house department is preparing a life without Igarashi.
