Miladin and Radosav try to collect the debt from their neighbor Joksim for the horse they sold him.

Radosav looks for a loan from the neighbors in order to go to Munich and fetch his son Miso.

The family finds out that their neighbor Obren hanged himself because his promiscuous daughter got pregnant, and fears the father could be their son Miso.

It is the day of Obren's funeral and Joksim is entrusted to deliver a speech.

Jeka informs the family that it was Miso who got her pregnant and promised to marry her and demands to live with them until he comes back.
