For Nora Kaminski, the close-knit living and practice partnership with Dr. Freese is nearing its end. His marriage plans and an attractive job offer she can hardly refuse leave her deep in thought.

Nora faces a tough decision: Should she buy the Rügen practice? Her adversary, Dr. Heckmann, has entirely different plans. And then there’s Jonas, the triathlete. During swim training, he suffers a strange fainting spell.

Nora Kaminski realizes she can’t take over the practice on her own. She gets support from Dr. Hannes Stresow, a reserved yet highly competent colleague who joins the Rügen practice.

The cautious getting-to-know-you phase with boatbuilder Max (Bernhard Piesk), who charmingly courts Nora, even feels promising. A true romantic is her young patient Emilia (Lene Oderich), whom Nora treats after a minor beach accident. The 16-year-old secretly wears her sister Julia’s (Antonia Breidenbach) wedding dress and dreams of her own “all in white” wedding.

Chopping wood doesn’t solve problems, but it helps blow off steam. With humor, Rügen doctor Nora Kaminski (Tanja Wedhorn), still supposed to take it easy after her accident, tries to lower her stress levels. Of all times, her younger sister, who shows up at her door after years of silence, demands her full attention. Franziska (Tina Amon Amonsen), who unabashedly presents herself as a novelist, online entrepreneur, and model, is thrilled by everything in Nora’s life—even her new “acquaintance” Max (Bernhard Piesk). Unfortunately, the “big” sister knows all too well what lies behind Franziska’s exuberance: a bipolar disorder. Since manic euphoria can give way to a depressive low, Nora now shifts into constant high alert.

Nora (Tanja Wedhorn) wants to finally carve out more time for her budding romance with Max (Bernhard Piesk). Switching off is easier said than done in her profession: When the captain (Jochen Nickel) collapses during a boat trip, the doctor naturally has to provide first aid. The gruff patient claims it’s no big deal, but Nora insists on a thorough examination. Dr. Heckmann’s (Patrick Heyn) tumor diagnosis confirms the worst fears.

A child’s courageous step takes center stage in the 17th film of “Praxis mit Meerblick.” Tanja Wedhorn, as the Rügen doctor, cares for a trans girl in “Dornröschen,” who faces rejection and prejudice after her self-determined coming-out. Young actor Moritz Brand delivers a moving performance as the ten-year-old, putting Nora in a dilemma between medical and legal duties of care. The screenplay by Lars Albaum and Marcus Hertneck weaves the gender theme into the context of Tchaikovsky’s ballet and the original fairy tale.

Midwife Claudia Koserow (Johanna Klante) could get a call at any moment. With devotion to her profession and toughness on herself, she carries out her responsible work. But at home, the freelancer faces pressure: Both her husband (Vlad Chiriac) and her care-dependent mother (Gitta Schweighöfer) make her feel guilty. Despite suffering a dizzy spell during a home birth, she immediately returns to her routine.

Nora (Tanja Wedhorn) and Max (Bernhard Piesk) are readjusting: Max’s daughter Klara (Ruby M. Lichtenberg) is moving out! Their time alone together might be short-lived, though. The newly in-love, late-forties Nora learns something she never expected: She’s pregnant. What’s medically a small miracle also carries risks. For Nora, the decision is clear. Now, as a young patchwork grandma and expectant mother, she must completely reorganize her life.

Nora (Tanja Wedhorn) should be taking it easy due to her pregnancy, but her practice doesn’t allow it. The doctor is concerned about a patient: Actress Jen (Anne-Marie Lux) must cope not only with a riding accident but also the recent loss of her mother to cancer.

As a lifesaver, “Rügen doctor” Nora Kaminski must prove herself twice over: first after a boy’s strange fall from a boat dock, then with the dramatic illness of his playmate. Both cases are tied to fears weighing on their childhood friendship.

When it comes to her own health, Nora Kaminski ignores all medical advice. Disregarding her body and mind’s warning signs, the practice owner and emergency doctor throws herself into work. Her thoughts drift, and unusual lapses are hard to conceal. When a patient collapses after an examination, Nora questions herself: Did she miss something? As Saskia Menke deteriorates dramatically in intensive care, even Dr. Heckmann finds no explanation for her unusual heart attack symptoms. Luckily, Nora retains her ability to think outside the box. Her suspicion that the patient is suffering from “Broken Heart Syndrome” leads to the true causes. However, this problem, triggered by emotional stress, can’t be solved with conventional medicine! To give Saskia the courage to recover, her husband Gerrit and son Laurin must resolve a family conflict at her bedside.

Rügen doctor Nora Kaminski fondly recalls her student-day flatshare with her later husband Peer, musician Christiane, and actor Olaf. A sailing trip on Peer’s boat promises a long-awaited reunion for the once-inseparable quartet. The doctor without a title takes a closer look at her friends and uncovers issues that aren’t medical in nature. Shattered life and career dreams are weighing on Christiane and Olaf. Now, it’s up to Nora and Peer to help their old friends, which means confronting the present and processing the past.

She also keeps an eye on her fiancé Max Jensen’s construction project. Nora meets Max’s future father-in-law, star architect Prof. Jensen, as well as Max’s confident project assistant Amelie. In the practice, her people skills are needed: The doctor without a title must convince widowed, stubborn taxidermist Gunnar Kruse, who suffers from a strange cough, to take his health seriously at his daughter Almut’s urging. To help her unyielding patient, Nora must first understand him.

The Rügen-based Lang family and the newcomer Querengässers could hardly be more different. Clashing lifestyles turn every little thing into a neighborhood dispute. Unbeknownst to their feuding fathers, 16-year-old Romy and 17-year-old Jonathan are secretly a couple! The two lovers are injured in a motorcycle accident. When Nora arrives at the rescue scene, Romy is in a coma with severe injuries—and the young driver has vanished! The next day, Jonathan, in pain, makes his way to the hospital where Romy lies, but her parents want nothing to do with him. For the doctor without a title, a delicate mission begins. Trying to help the young couple not just medically, she finds herself caught between the families’ battle lines. To prevent a violent escalation, Nora must confront the warring parties.
