Karenjit Kaur: The Untold Story of Sunny Leone

Karenjit and her brother feel shattered when they discover that their mother has a drinking problem and that their father has lost his job. A desperate Karenjit sets out to find work but faces a moral dilemma when offered a lingerie commercial.

When Karenjit accidentally learns about her brother’s well-kept secret, she gathers the courage to share her own secret with him. She reveals about the offer to work in an adult film and the siblings make a deal to keep each other’s secrets.

When the college teacher finds Karenjit’s adult video online, she drags her to the principal’s office. However, unflustered by the episode, she takes up the offer from Penthouse and must now think of a new name that would complement her bold and beautiful personality.

After trying her hand at a few odd jobs and failing at everything, Karenjit decides to continue with her career in the adult film industry. She makes good money and earns her family a better lifestyle. She then goes on to win the Penthouse Pet of the Year.

Karenjit, finally, gathers the courage to reveal her truth to her parents. Shocked by this revelation, her parents and her best friend disown her. A dejected Karenjit is left to gather her life’s broken pieces.

Irritated with his immaturity, Sunny decides to dump and move on from her boyfriend, Chuck. In a fortuitous moment, she meets Daniel Webber at the Adult Video Awards and the duo hit it off instantly.

Ashamed of Karenjit’s profession, the relatives shun the Vohra family which hurts Karenjit’s parents. Following this, Karenjit’s brother, Sunny decides not to apply for admission in a reputed college just to be with his emotionally disturbed parents.

Karenjit makes an appearance on Richard Stone’s radio show where she is asked naughty questions. The interview creates a stir in the society and Karenjit’s parents are ostracised by their community. Karenjit has no regrets for her life choices but her only guilt is the community backlash and the trauma her parents had to endure because of her.
