Zhen Huan is chosen by the Emperor, who seems to recognise something about her. While devastated that she must now leave her family, she is determined to do well in the palace.
Consort Hua shows her true colours when she harshly punishes a petty bully, however, the darker nature of the palace soon reveals itself to Zhen Huan when she makes a horrifying find.
