Taking with him a bunch of flowers, KIN heads for the hospital to express his love for FONG. He is surprised to learn that she is going out with SUN. KIN has passed FUNG’s test, which means his life is spared. FUNG is staying however to learn how to be a human being. He wants to be friends with KIN. FUNG tells KIN he will call on him with his girlfriend later for dinner. KIN fears it is FONG he is talking about. FUNG has become a sales executive of Hong Zhi Pharmaceutical Co Ltd. He is late the first day he reports duty. SUN is not happy about this. FUNG tells KIN to come over to HONG ZHI and demands that he cooperate with TIN. It takes FUNG a bit of persuasion to convince KIN the advantages of working with TIN. KIN agrees to develop a dementia drug for TIN while he continues to work on his anti-sensitivity medicine. FONG visits SUN at Hong Zhi. TIN’s ridicule embarrasses her.

SUN has broken up with FONG. FUNG denies KIN’s accusation of screwing up their relationship. FUNG encourages KIN to run after FONG. KIN insists he only sees her as a willing participant for his anti-sensitivity drug trial. FUNG does not believe him of course. FONG and KIN talk about the drug trial at a shoe shop. FUNG appears out of the blue, claiming he has told FONG about the trial already. Now that FONG is participating at KIN’s drug trial, she decides to work at KIN’s clinic as well for convenience sake. KIN is very pleased, as this mean he will see her more often from now on. A woman complains of stomachache in front of KIU’s clinic. FONG sees her, and takes her to KIN’s clinic. Later when KIU learns about this, she flies into a fit of anger and blames KIN for snapping her patient. FUNG invites FONG to a date again.… ...

TIN stops funding for anti-sensitivity drug project, believing KIN will then concentrate on the development of the new dementia drug. SUN appoints FUNG as his personal assistant so that he can bully him whatever he feels like. A magazine would like to interview TIN. KIN takes the opportunity to make him continue his support for the anti-sensitivity drug. FONG cannot attend the graduation ceremony of the nursing school because of the recurrence of her sensitivity. FUNG goes to the ceremony on behalf of her. She is deeply touched when he shows her the recording of her course mates’ words of encouragement. FUNG does very well in selling drugs. He tells KIN and FONG the good news, as well as treating her to dinner. As far as KIN is concerned, a demon should not fall in love with a human person. He therefore tells FUNG to stop running after FONG. FUNG will not listen however.… ...

Worried about KIN, FONG returns to the church, only to see him in a confrontation with FUNG. KIN tells her FUNG is a demon. KIN tries to exorcise FUNG. FONG listens to FUNG’s heart with a stethoscope but finds no heart beat. KIU helps SUN gather information of proprietary Chinese medicine. SAU-WAN and FOOK-TSUEN both think it is a good opportunity for them to make public and promote their family prescription. HEI has fallen ill in mainland China. KIN and FONG go to see her as soon as they hear about the news. TAT gets back his mainland travel permit with the help of FUNG. KIU, TSUEN and SUN have a meeting with TIN. TIN criticizes their study for lacking statistical support. TIN appoints KIN to take charge of the proprietary Chinese medicine research. KIU has no choice but to make peace with HEI.

The memories of how KIN caused the death of FUNG’s father as well as his family tragedy come back vividly to FUNG. FUNG had tried to knock over and kill KIN, but he failed and got seriously injured instead. He did not die though. With the assistance of a demon he began his revenge plan. FONG and KIN goes to HEI’s for supper. HEI urges them to tie the knot, embarrassing them both. KIN is suffering from fatigue and a fever. FONG visits FUNG, offering to hand over her life on the condition that he spares KIN’s. FUNG refuses at first but her constant begging moves him. He agrees to take her soul to the hell in the end. KIN cannot believe it when FONG suggests that they get married. Looking at them, FUNG knows that his revenge plan is now entering another phase.

TIN has a severe stomachache when he is exercising. Fortunately, SUN is with him. TIN takes SUN to an award presentation, where they run into TIN’s competitor, CHENG KA-WAI. BEN feels that SUN has been nitpicking on him a lot. He would like to have a word with SUN, but FUNG takes him to a restaurant. On the other hand, FUNG tells SUN he has found the evidence of BEN spying on the company’s information for their competitor. KIN fears that FUNG will take his life when his dream has come true. FUNG assures him he will not. KIN proposes to FONG. She is touched by his sincerity. SUN and KIU report the progress of their research to TIN. To their huge disappointment, TIN tells them the project has been called off. KIU believes KIN is to blame. Furious, she forbids TAT from going to KIN and FONG’s wedding.

HEI and TAI have dim sum together. FONG is offering TAT a cup of tea when KIU shows up suddenly, obviously not looking very pleased. With a view to patching up with his father, SUN volunteers to assist in the dementia drug project. TIN therefore introduces him to DR. MAN KA-LING. SUN tries hard to please LING, who seems very pleased. People in the Research Department therefore believe the two are going out with each other. FUNG has bought a cemetery plot for FONG, making her believe that he is going to kill her soon. FUNG says he will only take her life after the birth of KIN and her child. FONG suspects that she is pregnant. She tells MUI to keep it a secret. MUI wants to teach FUNG a good lesson, wrongly believing that he is trying to harm FONG. FUNG shows him his superpower, scaring her to the core.

FONG dares not tell KIN she is pregnant. Even MUI starts to worry about her. MUI pleads FUNG to leave FONG alone but he refuses to do so. KIN is over the moon when FONG tells him she is pregnant. MUI accompanies HEI to the wet market. KIU shows up suddenly and takes HEI away. MUI calls FONG immediately for help. MUI has enrolled KIN in many parenting courses. Her growing nervousness makes him think that she is suffering from pre-natal depression. KIN is astonished to learn from MUI about FONG and FUNG’s agreement. He looks for FONG’s whereabouts like mad.

FUNG plans to take FONG’s life. KIN is so furious that he picks up a fight with him and smashes the tombstone he has prepared for FONG. On the other hand, FONG is so worried about KIN that she eventually passes out. KIN visits FONG at the hospital. He cannot be more surprised and nervous when FUNG shows up. FUNG runs into a woman who is known as AUNTIE POON as he leaves the hospital. Finding her a bit too nosy, he takes her to a mysterious space so as to teach her a lesson. FUNG reminds SUN of the deadline of submitting WAI statistical evidence. SUN has been trying to access DR. MAN’s computer but it is password-protected. With FUNG’s help he manages to get the data, which he then passes to BEN. MUI hopes that FUNG would let KIN and FONG off. So she he jumps into the sea, wishing that he would save her.

FONG and MUI have found out about KIN’s plan. They make a dash for the hut where KIN is keeping FUNG but he stops them. When KIN learns about FUNG’s background, he changes his mind and saves him instead. SUN suggests assigning the dementia drug project to DR. MAN. TIN encourages him to go out with DR. MAN when he knows that they have a crush for each other. A patient has sent KIN a thank-you card. It rings a bell to KIN, and he remembers at last that TOI CHI-KEUNG is FUNG and YAN’s father. MUI wants to make up with FUNG. He does not know whether to laugh or cry. FONG has a stomach ache. Believing that KIU’s medicine is to blame, HEI reasons with KIU. As a result, FONG comes to know that MUI’s biological mother is not HEI but somebody else.

FONG takes HEI to see MUI. She is disappointed that HEI does not tell MUI the truth. MUI, KIU and TAT visit the Giant Buddha. KIU feels sad to see MUI go, as she is such a good daughter. FUNG visits YAN, who is at a convalescent home. A nurse tells him someone has paid for YAN’s hospital fees. Later, FUNG throws a tantrum at KIN’s clinic. FUNG and KIN have breakfast together. FUNG has become a totally different person, as he has determined to lead a normal life. On the other hand, however, he tells YAN he will never let KIN off. The statistic data on dementia released by WAI’s pharmaceutical company is exactly the same as that of Hong Zhi’s. TIN is shocked, suspecting that there is a spy in the company.

SUN reasons with WAI, only to be slapped in the face. DR. MAN takes him to KIN’s clinic. Much to his surprise, KIN is also aware of DR. MAN’s habit of storing her passwords in her bangle. FONG plucks up enough encourage to tell KIN who is MUI’s real mother. KIN is rather upset. KIN gives MUI a lift home and runs into KIU on the way. He takes the opportunity to tell her MUI has all been interested in Chinese medicine. SUN takes DR. MAN to shopping and then arranges a meeting for her and WAI. The next thing he knows, he finds himself in love with her. KIU would like to pass the clinic to MUI. WAN is so angry that she reveals MUI’s real identity. It comes as a great blow to MUI. KIN tells DR. MAN to beware of SUN.

MUI’s family worries a lot about her safety. FUNG therefore tells KIN she is in a hut on a roof. KIN apologizes to DR. MAN, but she claims she has never been mad at him. SUN and WAI are plotting to let FUNG take KIN’s life. DR. MAN learns about their plot from WAI’s text message to SUN. Later, she accuses KIN of betraying Hong Zhi, resulting in KIN’s getting the axe. FUNG tells his younger sister the progress of his revenge plan. Nonetheless, believing MUI is innocent, he is also going to help her patch up with her family. FONG throws a BBQ party on the roof so as to give KIN a nice surprise. It does not turn out the way she has expected though. FONG hopes that TIN would let KIN return to Hong Zhi. Neither of them is aware that FUNG is looking at them at a distance.

FONG and TIN are photographed leaning close to each other by FUNG. TIN shops with his wife, MEI-KEI, at a department store. He buys FONG a crib when KEI is not around. KIN and FONG run into them in the Baby Department, and they invite TIN and KEI to afternoon tea. KEI drops FONG a hint in the washroom that she will never allow any woman get close to her husband. FUNG shows KIN the photos of TIN and FONG. TIN invites KIN to work for Hong Zhi again. Their meeting turns out to be an unpleasant one. KIN blames FONG for having an affair with TIN. She is so worked up that she faints, which results in a miscarriage. TIN wants to explain to KIN but gets beaten up instead.

TIN tells SUN about his illness, adding that he will hand over Hong Zhi to him as soon as possible. Although SUN is happy about this, he is also worried. He finds himself in a dilemma when WAI asks him to work for him. DR. MAN cheers SUN up. He swears to take good care of his father’s business so as to make up for his mistakes in the past. KIN sends FONG a divorce agreement by courier on the day of her discharge. TIN tells SUN to see him when he discovers that SUN is working as a spy for WAI. TIN is ambushed by a killer. SUN gets severely injured as he is trying to protect his father. FONG visits TIN at hospital. TIN believes the killer was hired by KIN. When FONG finds out that KIN has conducted a DNA profiling on TIN and her unborn baby, she decides to give up hope on this man who she once loved so much.

Not until he has screwed both his career and family up that KIN realizes he has been manipulated by FUNG all along. FONG is leaving Hong Kong. She tells MUI everything when MUI passes her her luggage. KIN, who has been tapping them, realizes that he has wrongly blamed FONG. FUNG takes MUI to his parents’ tombs after showing her his power. He also tells her his plan to kill KIN and TIN. With KIU’s encouragement, KIN reopens his clinic. However, just when he thinks he can finally lead a normal life, FUNG appears at his clinic. FUNG fires a complaint against KIN to the Medical Council about his beating a patient. KIN denies his accusation. KIU takes FUNG’s pulse and concludes that he is suffering from inner injury caused by a previous illness. FUNG displays his devil eyes at KIN’s disciplinary hearing.

KIN is very sorry to learn that FONG is suffering from depression. MUI takes some herbal medicine to FUNG, which KIU says is good for his heart problem. When he learns that FONG is suffering from depression, he offers to help her relieve her pain. MUI therefore takes him to see FONG in no time. FONG becomes more and more dependent on FUNG as time goes by. KIN looks for FONG at her hotel. She is very panicky and tries hard to avoid him. She is relieved when FUNG shows up. She is dumbfounded when he tells her he still loves her. WAI shows up at SUN and DR. MAN’s engagement ceremony, revealing the fact that SUN works for him as a commercial spy. On the other hand, KEI tells the media that TIN has a woman outside. FUNG goes to the hospital to show TIN his supernatural power.

KIN is prepared to sacrifice himself for FONG but she shows up out of the blue. FUNG and KIN stop her from killing herself. KIN discovers from a small detail that FUNG is not a demon. His real identity exposed, FUNG runs away at once. KIN and MUI manage to talk FONG into going to psychological counseling. KIN and MUI look for FUNG at the convalescent home, where they find out about FUNG’s another secret. MUI decides to let him face the reality. He faints as soon as he hears about the truth. FUNG pays a visit to his parents’ tomb. He is very sorry for failing to revenge for them. KIU would like to perform acupuncture on YAN but she cannot do so without FUNG’s authorization. FONG volunteers to draw FUNG out. FUNG tells FONG his painful experience, requesting her to commit suicide with him.
