SAN and LING ran into PING and found out that he was being bullied by HOI's son. To fight for justice, they both defeated HOI's son and saved PING. Later, HOI's son again bullied PING, this time, in the fight, PING accidentally killed him. The armed escorts of NAM's security organization all got murdered by the CHING TSING CLAN because his son PING killed the son of the Ching Tsing Clan's leader. Knowing that he and his father could not defeat the Clan's power, they both fled.

NAM got captured by the Ching Shing Clan soon after their flee, and his son PING thought of getting rescue from other branches of the security organization. Yet upon arrival, he found out that all these branches had been destroyed. YAT and YEE of Han Shan Clan were invited to attend the farewell cerermory of FUNG. On the way, YEE was captured by TIN and was eventually rescued by LING.

Yet, soon after the rescue, TIN captured YEE again and kept her in a brothal. Knowing it LING went to the brothal to rescue YEE a second time. In the fight, LING noted his wits to defeat TIN and though badly wounded he went onto escape with YEE again and both collapsed ashore.

FAI carried the wounded LING to a brothal and later informed YEE about the situation. So YEE left for the brothal to meet LING. When YAT knew about the incident he got furious -and went to the brot.hal to look for YEE who had just narrowly escaped from YAT through a secret tunne. HOI and MOK were looking for PING to take revenge. Fortunately, QUIN saved PING from them and took him to be his follower.

LING resided in a cave to recover from his wounds and YEE took care of him because she knew he had saved her many times. YING was told that FUNG killed her father and she got the proof from YEUNG.

LAN wanted to retire but was assigned by the king to be the General, so reluctantly he .received this promotion. Meanwhile LAU was threatened not to meet YEUNG again. Refusing to do as told, his whole family got killed and he ended up being attacked. At the critical moment, YEUNG rescued him and in their escape they finally succeeded in composing the final number, 'The Smiling, Proud Wanderer'.

YEE finally left LING after his recovery and returned to YAT. PING's parents were captured by MOK and were forced to tell where PING had hidden, refusing to reveal the fact, both commited suicide. Hoping that PING could take revenge, LING was determined to train PING. The training was so harsh that SAN sympathized PING which finally developed into a courtship.

Fearing that YING would know the fact that he had killed her father, TUNG sent YING to Lok Yeung. Unfortunately LING was mistakened as one of the gang which annoyed his master. As punishment, LING had to face the "Fault Reminding Cliff' where he discovered the 'Five Mountain Sword Consummate' and became one of the greatest sword masters.

CHING found out that LING has the potential to train kung-fu so he taught him the 'Lonely Nine Sword Consummate'. With the new kung-fu he defeated TIN. On the other hand, SAN taught PING kung-fu as well which strengthened the love between them.

QUIN was forced to give up the leadership of the 'Wah Shan Clan'. LING arrived to present QUIN that he got seriously wounded in the fight. He was cured by YEE's father who exhibited his kung-fu power on him. Meanwhile some secret documents which belonged to the 'Wah Shan Clan' had been stolen.

QUIN decided to take all his fellowers away from 'Wah Shan', yet on their way, their enemies caught up with them and SAN failed to defeat the enemies. Fortunately LING exhibited his 'Lonely Nine Sword Consummate ' and defeated all the enemies. LING knew that the love between PING and SAN is growing .deeper and deeper'. In the depression, he drank a lot.

Knowing why LING got so depressed, SAN's mother encouraged LING to save the relationship by practising the 'Chung Ling Sword Consummate' together. Yet failing to understand each other thoroughly they failed to learn the new kung-fu. YING gradually grow to love LING and on LING's departure to Foo Chow, she gave him a present. This greatly moved LING.

LING had not fully recovered from the wounds and many kung-fumasters gathered together in the hope of healing LING's internal injuries, LING greatly appreciated their concern. QUIN uncomfortable with LING's acquiantance with the gangs discharged him from the 'Wah Shan Clan'. Later when LING begged for a pardon he was captured by the 'Six Faries of the Peach Valley'.

YING knew that LING's internal injuries worsened so she took LING to the ‘Shao Lin' to cure him. The monks at 'Shao Lin' promised to cure LING only if YING stayed there to repent for a whole 10 years, she promised. Meanwhile, QUIN had public announced of discharging LING from 'Wah Shan Clan'. This shocked YING a great deal.

LING and MAN became good friends and both went to ‘May Village' to save YAM but were defeated by the master of the 'May Village' who locked LING in jail. Hence LING discovered that YAM had achieved the Magnificent Star Method'. Hence he learned immediately which greatly enriched his kung-fu. Later he escaped with YAM.

LING ran into QUIN at Foochow and begged for QUIN's pardon which got turned dawn. On the depression, he found out that it was the 'Ko Shan Clan' stole their secret documents. He wanted to tell the truth to the 'Wah Shan Clan' yet no one believed him and accused him to be the suspect.

To save YING, LING together With the gangs went to 'Shao Lin' to ask for YING but they failed. YING was on the contrary saved by YAM, the father and daughter were more than happy to see each other. The second time when LING went to 'Shao Lin' in the hope of saving YING, he was invited to be the master of 'Shao Lin', LING accepted.

YAM was wounded by SIM's kung fu and MAN cured YAM. QIN helped SIM to defeat YAM. Thus, LING was forced to fight with QUIN. This made him felt guilty because QUIN was his premiere kung-fu teacher, YING found out that LING was still in love with .SAN so she decided to leave LING.

YAM's reappearance greatly threatened TUNG's position. The followers of 'Wah Shan Clan' went back to YAM. Meanwhile TUNG had successfully achieved the 'Precious Sunflower Consummate' and no one could even defeat him. YING distracted TUNG and YAM took hold of the opportunity and killed TUNG. YAM then succeeded in getting back the leadership of 'Wah Shan Clan'.

LING was greatly shocked to hear PING and SAN's marriage and he drank heavily. This made YING and YEE very worry about him. After their marriage, PING, in order to take revenge, trained himself seriously thus leaving SAN alone. SAN felt the pain.

PING ignored SAN because he was practising 'The Exorcize Sward Consummate'. This secret was discovered by QUIN and QUIN invited him to join the 'Wah Shan Clan' to strengthened his power. In the 'Five Mountain Conference' LING met SAN again, both felt the embarrasement.

QUIN's achievement in the 'Exorcize Sword Consummate' defeated all the 'Five Mountains' representatives, so everyone voted him to be the leader of the 'Five Mountains'. SAN found that she was used by her father to learn the 'Excorcize Sword Consummate' through knowing PING. So she decided to leave her home.

PING told SAN that in order to learn the 'Exorcize Sword Consummate', he has to castrate himself. This greatly embrassed SAN but still she promised that she would still pay him company. PING finally killed HOI but he lost his power to see in this fight, later PING misunderstand that SAN had betrayed him. To show her innocence, she commit suicide and died.

Being very miserable, QUIN mistook his daughter's death was caused by YING, so he planned to attach ‘Sun Moon Clan' to take revenge. LING tried to explain the truth but was jailed by QUIN. Before QUIN put his plan to be practised, YAM attacked 'Wah Shan Clan', first that made QUIN's wife conmmitted suicide and QUIN himself fled. QUIN sware to kill LING and YAM to take revenge.

YAM became the leader of the 'Five Mountains’ after he had defeated QUIN, he then ordered the Clans of 'Five Mountains' to send their representatives up the 'Mount Chiu Yeung' to give him a hero worship. Meanwhile YAM suggested the union of 'Sun Moon Clan' and 'Han Shan Clan', but got refused by LING. Angrily, YAM led his fellower s to invade 'Han Shan Clan'.

Numerous followers of ‘Han Shan Clan' were killed during YAM's invasion, the rest followers planned to take revenge, so they caught MAN who later was set free by YING. YING left LING and was caught by QUIN. QUIN then challenged YAM and killed YAM easily.

YING chased QUIN to take revenge for her father, but was caught by QUIN. Later LING saved her and they were more than happy of their reunion. LING and FONG disclosed QUIN's conspiracy of spreading the 'Five Mountain Sword Consummate'.

PING was seriously wounded by QUIN. LING saved him and made him understand all his faults. Thus PING followed FONG to repent at 'Shao Lin’. In order to improve LING's kung-fu, FONG transferred all his kung-fu to LING. LING had a violent fight with QUIN, trying harder than he could, he killed QUIN. LING then withdrawn himself from 'The Land' and led a peaceful life with YING.
