The life of a successful lawyer and law academy teacher Marta Orlova is changing dramatically in just one day. She finds out that Artyom's fiance and colleague is cheating with her student, and her stepfather, the head of Martha's firm, who raised her after her mother's death, takes Artyom's side, because Martha's marriage to the son of Justice General Nikolsky is beneficial to both families.
