Paula's keen to help Gary get back on his feet after his break-up with Mel, so sets him up with old school friend Sonya. As Gary moves back in with his mum and dad, Kelvin concocts a drunken plan to win back Liz. Gary and his brother, Michael, decide they need to keep an eye on Kelvin in his fragile state. Kelvin waits for his two daughters outside their Brownies' pack meeting and hands them each a puppy. But Liz sees him and is furious.
