The pair take a trip around their home city of Liverpool, exploring the nostalgic and the new, visiting Brookside Close, and Liverpool footballer John Barnes joins them for a pie-making masterclass at a community bakery.

In the Midlands, Ricky Tomlinson and Sue Johnston visit the Belgrade theatre in Coventry, where Sue worked as a young actress. They also explore Birmingham through its curry and canals, take a powerful visit to Shrewsbury Prison, where Ricky did time in the 1970s. The pair also share two of their literary passions, as Ricky recreates a scene from Pride and Prejudice.
