The World of Indubala

Indubala left for Kolkata with dreams in her eyes; she didn't know she'd be tagged a 'refugee' in her own home! Even after everyday insults, Indubala stayed strong with the wish to revisit her home. But her husband's betrayal shattered all her dreams.

Life once became so hard for Indubala that she didn't want to live any longer. That life comes a full circle when someone from Indubala's past comes to her door for their last meal.

In the tumultuous 70s Kolkata, the man who personified Indubala's girlhood wrote to her and told her about his imminent visit. But on the day when he was supposed to arrive, revolution itself knocked on Indubala's door.

Monirul, Alok, Lachmi were all pawns in their own war. Indubala encountered such different soldiers at different stages while fighting her battle for life with deepening wounds.

Wounded by life's setbacks, Indubala has voluntarily distanced herself from her people. Her younger son, Sudeep, misunderstands his mother over this, but it is difficult for Indubala to overcome her wall of pain and reach out to him.

A train can take Chenu Mitra Lane's Indubala to her Kolapota. Several other Indubalas board the same train to leave Kolapota for the battlefield called life. The train follows the same path both ways, then how can the journey be different?
