Cecilia, prior to undergoing surgery, invites her family over for breakfast to celebrate Mother's Day. Unexpectedly, everyone ignores her. Apparently, they are busy dealing with their own issues.

Cecilia has to have an emergency operation. Jiménez has feelings for her, so he asks a colleague to perform the surgery even when he disagrees with the type of procedure he suggests.
