
FONG HING and LAM WING are both sorcerers of very different temperaments. Their respective sons FONG NAM and LAM MING FUNG study Chinese sorcery from them, together with their disciple LUK CHEUNG ON. The three young men have strong brotherly feelings for each other. NAM is engaged to a young girl called CHUN KIU. Yet she and her mother look down upon NAM and his father who are both sorcerers. The engagement finally breaks and NAM's pride is hurt. Feeling that Chinese sorcery has become obsolete and is no longer regarded as a respectable profession, the three young ones decide to go to the town and try their luck. At first HING does not agree to their decision. Eventually, under the persuasion of WING, HING gives them his consent.

Owing to their ignorance, NAM, FUNG and ON put them to embarrassment several times. FUNG is being mistaken as a pickpocket and the three of them are taken to the police station. With his wit, FUNG manages to make Inspector KAM release them. Having nowhere to go, they seek shelter in a temple, where they meet Inspector Kam again who goes there to investigate a case concerning vampires. FUNG tries to make fun of him but suddenly there comes a gang of robbers. The condition turns out of their control. Luckily, the secretary of the town's Chief KEUNG arrives and drives away the robbers. Despite the unfavourable conditions faced by them, they decide to strive hard to achievement in the town.
